The Creative Coalition is an umbrella organization, set up to support the entire creative sector in the Netherlands, with the aim of leveling the playing field for working conditions and compensation for services provided.
Over the past few years, a pattern has emerged in the Dutch creative sector of unfair compensation for work delivered, highlighted by the recent corona crisis. Creatives want to create so badly that they have come to accept too little in return. This is also reflected in negotiations between employers and employees. Creatives often negotiate from the heart, while it can be more effective to negotiate from a rational perspective at the negotiating table.
This is where &FLUENCE stepped in to empower those in the sector to negotiate and strategically position themselves. Over the course of a year, dozens of members of the Creative Coalition were trained in 3-day training sessions in negotiations at the micro and macro levels. Their individual skills were sharpened based on their own case studies, and they developed into true strategists in the field of stakeholder management and positioning in the highly competitive workforce. This has resulted in a strong united coalition that has unlocked its true potential and is now maximizing it in the labor market. In the coming days, we will be guiding and educating even more people.
