Last week’s AmplifyHER conference brought together an inspiring community of female professionals and the allies who champion them. The event focused on one powerful mission: increasing women’s visibility in business and leadership.
Throughout the day, women in senior leadership positions shared honest and inspiring stories about their journeys - how they’ve overcome challenges and embraced growth in difficult circumstances. Our own Head of Strategy, Maarten van Rossum, also took the stage to facilitate a panel of men discussing their role in supporting women’s visibility at work.
Three key lessons from AmplifyHER stood out:
1. Visibility starts with authenticity. True leadership visibility begins with showing up as your authentic self. Not by fitting in, but by standing out with purpose and confidence.
2. More men must speak up. Real change happens when men actively amplify women’s voices. Without men in the conversation, progress won’t happen.
3. Allyship means action. Being an ally goes beyond intention. It’s about speaking up for those who aren’t in the room, giving credit where it’s due, and ensuring diverse perspectives are heard.
AmplifyHER reminded us that visibility is not a solo journey but a shared responsibility. Together, we can build workplaces where every voice is seen, heard, and equally valued.
