As former United States Ambassador to the Netherlands, Tim brings a unique perspective on the transatlantic relationships between the US and Europe, and especially the Netherlands. His long career as a lawyer in Washington, D.C., representing both private and public sector clients around the world, gives him a broad set of skills and 'battle-tested' experience.
In addition to teaching law and policy at Northeastern University and serving on several non-profit boards, Tim was appointed last year by President Biden to serve on the Advisory Committee for Trade Policy & Negotiations ('ACTPN') to the United States Trade Representative (USTR). Tim is licensed to practice law in the United States and is Senior Of Counsel at the Palo Alto-based law firm Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati.
