With a diverse background in the public domain, Jop brings knowledge of political and administrative processes, negotiations, and campaigns.
During his studies in public administration in The Hague, Jop gained various experiences with municipalities and provided advice on sustainable mobility. In the final phase of his studies, he followed the pre-master in Kingdom Affairs and completed a learning assignment for the representative minister of Aruba.
Jop has also always been active in politics. For instance, he was the campaign leader for the municipal council elections and the provincial elections. During the campaign, he was involved in strategic communication and led his own team. After the elections, Jop remained engaged with the factions to assist in the negotiations. During this period, he learned how important it is to build good relationships with the other parties at the negotiation table.
