Jonas advises organizations on issues at the intersection of negotiation, reputation, communication, and influence. Because not only is your counterpart observing, but also politics, society, and the media. They influence what happens at the table and how you are perceived outside of it. He also helps organizations maintain control of their message when challenges extend beyond just the content.
As chair of the university council at Maastricht University, he was ultimately responsible for advising and supporting the Executive Board on behalf of all employees and students. This is where his interest in strategic decision-making, crisis communication, and advocacy began to emerge.
In addition to his work at &FLUENCE, Jonas is the vice-chair of the Dutch Professional Association for Negotiators (NLBVO), where he is dedicated to the professionalization of the negotiation profession in the Netherlands.
It is precisely because of his background in law that he now realizes the significant benefits that can be gained by engaging in the right way. At the negotiation table, and with society and the media. Because being right doesn’t necessarily mean getting it right.
