Bio
Henne has, among other things, served as Deputy Permanent Representative (ambassador) of the Netherlands to the European Union, and as Chief of Staff to the Secretary General of NATO. He was the ambassador of the Netherlands in Brussels and in Washington.
After his retirement in 2019, Henne became a member of the Advisory Council on International Affairs and Chairman of the Peace and Security Commission. He is currently serving as Chairman of the Netherlands House for Education and Research in Brussels, and Senior Advisor at Kreab International. In addition, he teaches in Brussels on European negotiations at the Center for Political and Diplomatic Studies.
