Marloes has worked in various roles within the public and private sectors, at institutions and NGOs, and has consequently developed a holistic view. She has sat on the decision-making side herself and understands how public institutions operate, how priorities are weighed, and what is needed to turn policy into action.
That perspective has been shaped by decades of practical experience in the public sector. In local and regional government, she served as an alderman in Rijswijk, with portfolios covering housing, spatial planning, mobility, and the energy transition. Additionally, she is active in international cooperation, possessing thorough knowledge of the political and economic dynamics in the Middle East, with which she supports organizations operating in changing markets. Her administrative experience within international cooperation, healthcare, education, and the environment complements this, providing insight into board-level governance, strategic decision-making, and organizational leadership.
