Having worked in several functions in the public and private sector, institutions and NGO’s she has developed an holistic view. Together with the decision-making side of the table, she understands how public institutions operate, how priorities are balanced and what it takes to turn policy into action.
That perspective is shaped by decades of hands-on public sector experience. In local and regional government, she served as alderman (wethouder) in Rijswijk, overseeing housing, spatial planning, mobility and energy transition portfolios. Beyond government, she is active in the international cooperation space, with a strong understanding of the political and economic dynamics shaping the Middle East to support organizations operating in evolving markets. Complementing this is her boardroom experience across international cooperation, health, education and environmental sectors, to offer insight into board-level governance, strategic decision-making and organizational leadership.
